Poems of Love and Life

Old Loves

The pain of parting is nothing to the joy of meeting again,
To see and to touch you is never the same,
Admiring your structure as I swill you around,
The older you get, you are better I've found,
The pain of parting is nothing to the joy of meeting again,
A double for me and Glenffidich's the name!

Rainbow Love

Rainbows rising after pouring rain,
Morning sunrise then sunset flame.
Souls entwined embrace every word,
Nothing done is absurd,
With every breath no need for money,
Life is a flower of which love is the honey.

Life’s Task
Fear not for the future, weep not for the past,
For life is too short and it will not last.
There are good times to give and share,
In times of sadness, it is time to care.
You are in charge of how you feel,
Choose happiness, it is so unreal.
Love yourself and always forgive,
Be positive, choose how to live.
Don't close your eyes to those in need,
It is the good in us that we must feed.
So fear not for the future, weep not for the past,
Be the best that we can be, that is your life's task!
