COT ta take it like a man.

I gazed  at the ceiling,
As I was lying in my bed,
Listening to my breathing,
A thousand thoughts,
Flowing through my head.

Troubles of yesterday,
The things that people said,
So many demons,
They are out to get me,
As I was lying in my bed.

The morning brings no relief,
As I was lying in my bed,
My thoughts, my dreams,
Are all still there,
Sitting quietly in my head.

Whitesnakes do it better ........ Cos he got to!

The three stanzas tie together very well. A nice tight take on the Carry on Tuesday prompt. Sometimes it's hard to make the demons sleep.

The demons like the drowsy state. Sleep tight and dreamless.

Isn't it infuriating when our thoughts won't let us sleep? A good interpretation of the prompt.
