Cot a gloomy and windy day

A gloomy and a windy day,
Is that all you have to say?
As the rain pelts down and wind it howls
The washing out, you have no towels,
The air is cold and the clouds are dark,
Put the fire on to start a spark.
As the house it warms you start to bake,
The smells the sounds a smile it make.
Knock on the door, friends come on in,
Share a wine, a port or gin.
Laughter and joy now that is the way.
On this a gloomy and windy day.

Whitesnakes do it better ..............Another port ole man?
