A KB Mother's Day story

The red Toyota pulled into the car park and waited.
It was cold yet the morning air was starting to warm.
She was just about to send a text when the car door opened and he quickly got in.
A passionate kiss they shared before she finally took him home.
There was a rush once at they reached their home. They quickly undressed and climbed into bed.
She showed him her back and he wrapped himself around her. She giggled with delight.
Her man was home and holding her the way she always wanted ta be held. Their life together was slowly starting to settle. Sleep took it's hold. They slept but not for long.
The sound of her alarm going off woke them both. It was 10am she rolled over ta face him "I'll set it for a bit longer"
She then turned into him and they fell asleep once more. At least for another half hour.

They woke up with a start but slowly made their way out of bed.
He made tea for himself and a coffee for her. While she drank and read her book he showered.
It never took him long to shower he would break out in a rash that itched if he stayed in the shower too long.
He was showered and dressed in no time.

She was proud of the man who would be her husband. She gazed at him as he started to prepare a salad for their outing. He was always like that,.preparing thing, preparing for their future. Her turn to shower.

As he made the salad ,chopping capsicum a yellow, red and orange one he smiled as he he heard his wife to be singing as she bathed
Spring onions, tomatoes salt, pepper, vinegar and olive oil oh and throw in some beetroot all coarsely chopped he finished it well before she had completed her shower.

The smell of her perfume drifted through the house as he put together all the things they would need for their visit to KB's mum and dads place.
The smell always enticed him. He smiled that wicked smile she always said he had.

In days long passed he would have felt pressure to get ready and get moving something he never really fully understood. Since living with KB all those feelings of angst have simmered. It has a lot to do with their similiar out look, the way they think and the way they interact.

Car all packed another coffee and a quick visit to the small house and they were off.

KB's father was and is notorious for ordering chips with any dish he orders or any meal that he has.
Whitesnake decided that for a laugh he would buy a large serve of McDonald's fries purely as a joke.

KB's parents house is neat, clean and tidy. It has a warm homely feel about it and guests are always welcomed with open arms.
Today being Mothers Day meant something special.
After giving KB's father his fries Whitesnake started unpacking the bag of goodies they had brought along.
There was laughter and  smiles all around as KB and her parents laughed at McDonald's bag. Her father went straight for the bread and butter to make a chip butty.

KB gave her mother her card and everyone watched as she read it. There was a a moment when they all thought she would burst into tears as she read it.
KB got the biggest hug from her mum.
The meal they laid out was quite simple.
Chicken, already stripped from the bone, the beetroot salad that had been make earlier, potato bake that had been made and preserved a few days early a coleslaw that was quick and easy to put together a bottle of bubbly and of course a mixed berry cheesecake.

There was laughter, serious conversation and a feeling of contentment as the meal was consumed with gay abandon.
Sometime into the meal a ringing sound from Whitesnake's phone surprised her parents.
He told KB he love her and she did like wise. They kissed and carried on eating. Her parent's looked a tad gobsmacked.
They explained that his phone had been set to remind him that he loved her. Not that he needed reminding.
It was purely a quirky thing he had done. KB loved it!

All too quickly the time to leave had come.
Whitesnake had work that evening and he needed more sleep.
Goodbyes were said, kisses and cuddles exchanged all wishing that these moment, these get together would never end.

A wonderful day had by all.
Apart from the fries, the most touching moment was when KB's mum read her card.

It was truly a wonderful day.
Thank You KB I love you.
