Who's Fat

It is no surprise that where we live there is a series of problems that need to be addressed one is unemployment and the other is obesity. These two things are what lead to crime and attitude problems within the community.

We have just done our first trip to the supermarket. We do two a week normally.
The bill was actually quite good for us. We are starting to adjust to our smaller income and it hasn’t adversely affected our life style.

We eat reasonably healthy, we exercise irregularly but I am getting there however my wife is more regular than I am when it comes to fitness although I do a lot of the household chores which is a wee bit of exercise.

Over the last few days we have been discussing out weight and body fat but after a trip to our supermarket we should be very grateful we are the sizes we are and we are at least doing something about.

There were several people in the store who were as wide as they were tall and the duck waddle walk was perilously close to falling over one side or the other. There of course were the cruisers who lean on the handle and let the trolley take their weight as the slide their feet slowly side to side.

We are becoming more immune when we see these people. All we can do is shake our head and just make sure we don’t fall into the trap they are in.

It really is sad.
